Additional resources for new faculty
Abstract
One of the keys to becoming an effective clinician educator is developing skills that allow for maximal efficiency in day-to-day activities, as well as resources that will aid in the development of the teaching, scholarship, and service requirements of an academic appointment. Discovering and using clinical and educational resources available at one's institution, practice site, and at the local, state, and national levels will allow for maximal faculty development while minimizing stress. Using technology as well as opportunities provided by the academy may be the key to the initiation and maintenance of a very happy, fulfilled, and long academic career.
